Sing-a-long if you know the song….

If we could talk to the animals, learn their languages
Think of all the things we could discuss
If we could walk with the animals, talk with the animals,
Grunt and squeak and squawk with the animals,
And they could squeak and squawk and speak and talk to us.

If we could talk to the animals, just imagine it
Chatting to a chimp in chimpanzee
Imagine talking to a tiger, chatting to a cheetah
What a neat achievement that would be.

If we could talk to the animals, learn their languages
Maybe take an animal degree.
We’d study elephant and eagle, buffalo and beagle,
Alligator, guinea pig, and flea.

We would converse in polar bear and python,
And we could curse in fluent kangaroo.
If people asked us, can you speak in rhinoceros,
We’d say, “Of courserous, can’t you?”

We think Dr. Dolittle was onto something! HOW GREAT WOULD IT BE if we could have a conversation with our pets? Although it would be awesome to chatter away, we know that isn’t happening anytime soon. For many of us though, it is the one-way conversation with our pets that we love! PETS are great listeners and many probably hold more secrets than close friends or family members.

Talking to your pets can be a great bonding experience. Pets learn how to pick-up on owners emotions. Dogs learn when it is time to snuggle or wag their tails. Cats learn when it is time to weave between your legs or climb on your resting lap. Dogs and cats are both highly intelligent animals and although they verbally cannot express what they are thinking, they can use body language and their own “words” to show you how they feel.

We want to know, what do you talk to your pet about? LEAVE A COMMENT HERE and let us know!
